With over 30 years of experience in construction management, Eric has been instrumental in driving CG Schmidt’s strategic growth. From establishing a second Wisconsin-based office in Madison in 2009 to spearheading new territory in Tempe, Arizona in 2023, Eric’s vision to broaden the company’s geographic reach across the country marks key milestones in its commitment to delivering unique solutions for clients.
Eric has continued to elevate the company’s reputation for excellence in community impact, client service, and construction. His leadership is built on a foundation of hands-on experience in nearly every facet of the business—from the yard to the field and ultimately to the executive team. His deep understanding of construction operations, combined with his commitment to exceptional client satisfaction, has been instrumental in strengthening partnerships and delivering successful projects across multiple market segments. “As I step down from my role as CEO, I couldn’t be prouder to pass the title to Eric,” said Rick Schmidt, former CEO of CG Schmidt. “His leadership, vision, and commitment to our employees and clients make him the perfect leader to guide our company into a successful future.”

Eric is a strong advocate for industry and community engagement, serving as Chair of the Milwaukee County Historical Society and Chair of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church Buildings and Grounds Committee. He also sits on the boards of the Association of General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee and the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee and is a member of the Greater Milwaukee Committee and the UW-Milwaukee Business Advisory Board.
