UW-Wendt Commons Library – Grainger Engineering Design Innovation Lab

CG Schmidt managed the construction of a new hands-on learning center, or “Maker Space” in the UW-Madison Wendt Commons Library. This self-directed space provides engineering students and faculty a place to experiment, prototype, and collaborate with state-of-the-art tools and equipment. Some of these tools include a 3D printer, laser cutter, hand tools, wood/metal shop, programmable circuit boards, computers, and virtual/augmented reality software. The project was in large part funded through private industry support.
