Marquette University High School
EDUCATIONAL FACILITY
The two-story vertical addition and renovation at Marquette University High School were part of plan that maximized emerging trends in college preparatory environments. Renovated spaces include the Henke Center entrance, controlled security, campus ministry, counseling, administration areas/faculty offices and classrooms. Additions include a new academic success center, large tiered lecture hall, collaboration areas for group instruction, and areas for one-on-one meetings. A light-filled vertical circulation connects the second and third floors within the addition and ancillary spaces around the stair provide options for informal gathering and study. On the third floor an outdoor “porch” hugs the addition. Natural light abounds while re-programming has improved departmental adjacencies benefiting students, staff and faculty.
