Rick Schmidt Awarded BizTimes 2023 Notable Alumni

As CG Schmidt’s CEO and Chairman, Rick is a proud alumni of Marquette University. 

CG Schmidt is happy to announce Rick Schmidt as recipient of BizTimes 2023 Notable Alumni. Rick serves as the CEO and Chairman of the Board at CG Schmidt, a leading construction management firm headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Wisconsin.  

As a proud Marquette University alumni, Rick oversaw CG Schmidt’s successful completion of various work throghout Marquette University and Marquette University High School campuses, including Marquette University High School’s addition and renovation and Marquette University’s St. Joan of Arc Chapel restoration.

He is a member of the Marquette University College of Engineering Thought Leaders Council and the Greater Milwaukee Committee and a 2017 recipient of Marquette University College of Engineering’s Distinguished Alumnus Award. Over the years, Rick has supported the University’s Engineers without Borders program and the Opus College of Engineering Fund.  

Rick is passionate about community service and has served on several not-for-profit boards including Medical College of Wisconsin’s Cancer Center Board, Legatus of Milwaukee, Seton Catholic Schools, St. Francis de Sales Seminary, Milwaukee Catholic Home, Milwaukee Zoological Society and the Pabst Mansion. Rick is co-chair of the Connecting Communities campaign for the B-Line Park Beerline Trail and is a member emeritus of the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee.
